Through Pa\u1e47\u1e0dit B\u0101b\u0101, Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b was introduced to the most erudite Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava of the times \u2013 \u015ar\u012bla Vinoda Vih\u0101r\u012b Gosv\u0101m\u012b &#8211; who became his Gurudeva.<\/p><p>Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b studied Vai\u1e63\u1e47ava philosophy and literature under him. Continuing to follow his Gurudeva\u2019s instructions, he then went to V\u0101r\u0101\u1e47as\u012b to study other Indian philosophical systems. Having obtained 13 academic titles after 12 years of intensive studies, Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b returned to V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana where he continued serving faithfully his Gurudeva.<\/p><p>Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b\u2019s <em>\u0101\u015bram<\/em>, \u015ar\u012b Harid\u0101s Niv\u0101s, was constructed in 1965 at the place where K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a subdued the serpent K\u0101liya in V\u1e5bnd\u0101vana on the banks of the Yamun\u0101. He established a library (<strong>\u015ar\u012b Gaura-Gad\u0101dhara Granth\u0101garam<\/strong>), which today is one of the largest in all of Vraja-ma\u1e47\u1e0dala. He also set up a publishing center (<strong>\u015ar\u012b Gad\u0101dhara-Gaurahari Press<\/strong>) to publish the scriptural texts, saving them from extinction. However, when Mah\u0101prabhu taught the supreme knowledge to mankind, he did not write any commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-61b84b7 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"61b84b7\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-737dbb1\" data-id=\"737dbb1\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-521ef2e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"521ef2e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Instead He said that the author of the S\u016btras \u015ar\u012b Vy\u0101sadeva himself had written a vast commentary on them, so no further commentary was required. That natural commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras was \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam. For this reason, the followers of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya studied \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam to understand the highest knowledge available to mankind.<\/p><p>Later, during the time of \u015ar\u012b Baladeva Vidy\u0101bh\u016b\u1e63a\u1e47, scholars of different traditions began to claim that the tradition of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya was an <em>apa-samprad\u0101ya<\/em> (inauthentic tradition) as they did not have a commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras, not accepting \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam in this matter. Therefore \u015ar\u012b Baladeva had to write a <em>s\u016btra<\/em>-per-<em>s\u016btra<\/em> commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras in the same style as those written by the other <em>\u0101c\u0101ryas<\/em>, and he called it \u015ar\u012b Govinda-Bh\u0101\u1e63ya. How was \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam a commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras? By his mercy towards mankind, Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b clarified Mah\u0101prabhu&#8217;s mind by showing how \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam explains the knowledge of Ved\u0101nta contained in each and every Brahma-S\u016btra by writing the book &#8220;<strong>Ved\u0101nta-Dar\u015banam Bh\u0101gavata-Bh\u0101\u1e63yopetam<\/strong>&#8221; .<\/p><p>In this book he has listed all the Ved\u0101nta <em>s\u016btras<\/em> sequentially and for each one he has given the corresponding verse from \u015ar\u012bmad-Bh\u0101gavatam. He then explained the meaning in Hindi for the common man. Thus in the series of commentaries by different <em>\u0101c\u0101ryas<\/em> there is this last commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras, the &#8220;Bh\u0101gavata-Bh\u0101\u1e63ya&#8221; by \u015ar\u012b Harid\u0101s \u015a\u0101str\u012b Mah\u0101r\u0101j.<\/p><p>He who understands the teachings of \u015ar\u012b Caitanya can easily appreciate that this great work negates the need for humanity to produce any other commentary on the Brahma-S\u016btras in the future. The culture of Vraja revolved around the <i>sev\u0101<\/i> of <i>Go<\/i>, a special creation of the Supreme Lord \u015ar\u012b K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a. <em>Go<\/em> in Sanskrit means the varieties of cows, bulls and calves that are native to India. (The imported varieties of cows and bulls and the hybrid varieties are called <em>gavay<\/em> and not <em>Go<\/em>. The glories of <em>go-sev\u0101<\/em> are not associated with <em>gavay<\/em>). That is why he set a very high standard of absolutely selfless service to <em>Go<\/em> which is maintained in his <em>\u0101\u015bram<\/em> to this day: <em>Go<\/em> are considered to be members of the family without seeking any benefit from them. The milk is taken by the calves, and what they do not drink is milked so that <em>Go<\/em> Mothers are comfortable and do not get sick. Then the milk is offered to K\u1e5b\u1e63\u1e47a and distributed among the inhabitants of the <em>\u0101\u015bram<\/em>.<\/p><p>The <em>go\u015b\u0101l\u0101s<\/em> are well equipped and give <em>Go<\/em> all the necessary comfort. Every day they are offered <em>la\u1e0d\u1e0d\u016b<\/em> or <em>gur<\/em> (types of sweets, depending on the season). In addition, of 200 <em>Go<\/em> about 40% are bulls. From the material point of view they are not of much use; however, in \u015ar\u012b Harid\u0101s Niv\u0101s only their well-being is considered &#8230;<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<\/p><p>Mah\u0101r\u0101jj\u012b always followed the path of Truth and <em>dharma<\/em>, and nothing in the world could dissuade him from it. Even towards the later part of his life, despite his advanced age, he continued to teach the scriptures, write books, ensure the proper <em>sev\u0101<\/em> in the <em>go\u015b\u0101l\u0101<\/em> and
